Ingredients
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk
- 2 cups vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
Steps:
- Press tofu or seitan to remove excess moisture.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Set up dredging stations: one bowl of flour, one bowl of plant-based milk, and one bowl of mixed panko, nutritional yeast, garlic, and onion powders.
- Dredge each slice first in flour, then dip in milk, and finally coat with panko mixture.
