Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, drained and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup raw cashews
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt to taste

Steps:

  1. Press tofu to remove excess water then cut into cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat, then add tofu cubes. Fry until golden brown and crispy on all edges. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic, onion, and bell peppers. Sauté until soft.
  4. Add cashews and stir until they are lightly toasted.
  5. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili sauce, and ginger. Mix well.
  6. Garnish with green onions, season with salt if needed, and serve immediately.
