    Ingredients

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted
    • 3/4 cup warm water
    • 1 tablespoon yeast
    • 1 teaspoon sugar (for yeast)
    • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
    • 2 teaspoons cinnamon (for topping)
    • Vegetable oil (for frying)

    Steps:

    1. In a small bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and 1 teaspoon sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes until frothy.
    2. In a large bowl, mix flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Add the yeast mixture and melted vegan butter. Stir until a dough forms.
