    Enjoy a cozy autumn meal with this Classic Vegan Zwiebelkuchen, perfect for any fall gathering. This savory pie combines sweet caramelized onions with a creamy tofu-based filling on a homemade crust, offering a hearty and satisfying dish that even non-vegans will love.

    Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 4 large onions, thinly sliced
    • 1 block (400 g) firm tofu
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened plant-based milk
    • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
    • 1 teaspoon turmeric
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 vegan pie crust

    Steps:

    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
    2. Roll out the vegan pie crust and place in a pie dish.
    3. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté onions until caramelized.
    4. Blend tofu, plant-based milk, nutritional yeast, turmeric, salt, and pepper until smooth.
    5. Combine caramelized onions with the tofu mixture and pour into the crust.
