Recipe Description
A tangy and slightly sweet chutney made with ripe tomatoes, smoked paprika, and a hint of chilli, perfect as a dip or spread.
Ingredients
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
Steps:
- Combine all ingredients in a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool. Transfer to sterilized jars and refrigerate.
