Recipe Description
It is simple, classic Italian fare that makes the most of summer’s tomatoes, but you can also make it with hothouse offerings and it will be delicious.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion (Finely chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 800g canned diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
Steps:
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add tomatoes, simer for 15 minutes. Stir in basil season with salt and pepper
- serve sauce over spaghetti
