Recipe Description

It is simple, classic Italian fare that makes the most of summer’s tomatoes, but you can also make it with hothouse offerings and it will be delicious.

Ingredients

  • 400g spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion (Finely chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 800g canned diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped

Steps:

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  3. Add tomatoes, simer for 15 minutes. Stir in basil season with salt and pepper
  4. serve sauce over spaghetti
