Ingredients

  • 400g plant-based meat substitute
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 100g bread crumbs
  • 200ml vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the plant-based meat substitute, onion, garlic, soy sauce, and bread crumbs. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until all sides are browned.
  4. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the flour and stir for two minutes.
  6. Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 20 minutes.
  7. Serve hot.
