Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, these vegan sesame balls are a delectable sweet treat. Made with a sweet red bean paste filling and coated in sesame seeds, they’re an irresistible snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- 100g red bean paste
- 75ml water
- 50g sugar
- White sesame seeds for coating
- Vegetable oil for frying
Steps:
- Mix the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and water in a bowl to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into 20 equal portions.
- Flatten each piece and place a teaspoon of red bean paste in the center. Enclose the filling with the dough and roll into a ball.
- Dampen the balls slightly with water and roll them in sesame seeds until fully coated.
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or deep pan to 175°C (350°F).
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
