Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, these Belgian fries are a vegan’s dream come true. Double-fried for that perfect texture and served with a variety of vegan dips. A classic snack or side that everyone will enjoy.
Ingredients
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Sea salt to taste
Steps:
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into thick fries.
- Rinse the fries in cold water to remove excess starch, then dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 160°C (320°F). Fry the potatoes in batches for about 5-7 minutes, until they start to soften. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Increase the oil temperature to 180°C (356°F). Fry the potatoes again in batches for 5-7 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- Drain the fries on paper towels and sprinkle with sea salt while still hot.
