Ingredients
- 400g pasta of choice
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Steps:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, and garlic. Process until finely chopped.
- With the processor running, slowly add the olive oil until the mixture is smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Stir in the nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the pesto sauce with the cooked pasta until evenly coated.
