Ingredients
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 carrots, peeled and diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 6 cups vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- Rinse the split peas under cold water.

- Remove the bay leaf. Use an immersion blender to purée the soup to your desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
