Ingredients
- 2 cups taro, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup non-dairy milk
- Oil for frying
Steps:
- Boil the taro cubes until soft, then mash until smooth.
- Season the mashed taro with salt and pepper, then let it cool.
- Form the taro mixture into small balls, then freeze for 15 minutes to firm up.
- Prepare three bowls for breading: one with flour, one with non-dairy milk, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with cornstarch.
- Dip each taro ball firstly in the flour, then the non-dairy milk, and finally in the panko mixture.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
