Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, and garlic. Process until finely chopped.
With the processor running, slowly add the olive oil until the mixture is smooth.
Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Stir in the nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper.
Toss the pesto sauce with the cooked pasta until evenly coated.
