    Recipe Description

    Juicy and flavorful seitan steak packed with protein. Perfect for BBQs and Father’s Day celebrations. A delightful alternative that even meat lovers will enjoy.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup vital wheat gluten
    • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tsp onion powder
    • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 tbsp tomato paste
    • 1 tsp smoked paprika

    Steps:

    1. In a large bowl, mix the vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, and onion powder.
    2. In a separate bowl, whisk together vegetable broth, soy sauce, olive oil, tomato paste, and smoked paprika.
    3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes.
    4. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and shape into steaks.
    5. Cook in a preheated skillet on medium heat for 5-6 minutes per side or until browned.
