Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Add melted coconut oil and stir until coarse crumbs form.
- Press half the mixture into a greased 9×9 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and lemon juice.
- Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool before slicing into bars. Enjoy!
