Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add melted coconut oil and stir until coarse crumbs form.
  4. Press half the mixture into a greased 9×9 inch baking dish.

  6. Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the apples.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until golden brown.
