    This savory Tofu Tikka Masala is a vegan twist on the classic Indian dish, offering a rich and aromatic experience. Featuring firm tofu marinated in a blend of spices and simmered in a creamy tomato sauce, it’s a hearty and delightful meal sure to satisfy. Perfect for anyone craving spice-filled, comforting dishes especially suited to communal dining or special celebrations.

    Ingredients

    • 3 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 large onion, finely chopped
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
    • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
    • 1 teaspoon turmeric
    • 1 tablespoon garam masala
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 2 cups crushed tomatoes

    Steps:

    1. 1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until translucent.
    2. 2. Add garlic and ginger, cook for another 2 minutes.
    3. 3. Stir in cumin, turmeric, garam masala, and paprika, cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
    4. 4. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.
    5. 5. In a separate pan, heat the remaining oil and brown tofu cubes until golden.
    6. 7. Season with salt, garnish with cilantro, and serve.
