Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu
- 1 cup of beer
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 large potatoes, cut into chips
- Vegetale oil for frying
- Lemon wedges and tartar sauce to serve
Steps:
- Wrap the tofu block with nori sheets and cut into ‘fish’ fillet shapes.
- Make the batter by whisking together beer, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Dip each tofu fillet into the batter.
- Fry the chips in hot vegetable oil until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
- Fry the battered tofu fillets until crispy and golden.
