Ingredients
- 500g okra, washed and chopped
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Steps:
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds until they splutter.
- Add onions and sauté until translucent.
- Mix in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- Add turmeric, coriander, and chili powders, and salt, and stir well.
- Stir in the tomato puree and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle garam masala and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
