Ingredients

  • 500g okra, washed and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Steps:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds until they splutter.
  2. Add onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Mix in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  4. Add turmeric, coriander, and chili powders, and salt, and stir well.
