Recipe Description
Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, these vegan Chinese chive pockets are filled with fragrant chives, glass noodles, and an assortment of vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 cup soaked and chopped glass noodles
- 1/2 cup shredded carrot
- 1/4 cup minced tofu
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- Dough (or store-bought dumpling wrappers)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Steps:
- Prepare the dough by mixing flour and salt, then slowly adding boiling water until a soft dough forms. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Mix chives, glass noodles, carrot, tofu, soy sauce, sesame oil, and salt in a bowl.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each out into a thin circle.
- Place a spoonful of the filling into the center of each circle, fold, and seal the edges.
- Heat a pan with a thin layer of oil. Place the chive pockets in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides.
