Recipe Description

A flavorful and satisfying plant-based take on the traditional Brazilian barbecue, featuring marinated grilled tofu steaks.

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  1. Drain and press tofu to remove excess water.
  2. Slice tofu into 1/2-inch thick steaks.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  4. Marinate tofu steaks in the mixture for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  5. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Serve immediately with your choice of side dishes.
