  • 500 ml plant-based milk, lukewarm
  • 1 sachet (7 g) dry yeast
  • 50 g sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • Diced apple or raisins, optional
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Steps:

  1. Mix flour, plant-based milk, yeast, sugar, and salt. Let the batter rise for an hour.
  2. Stir in diced apple or raisins if using.
  3. Heat oil to 180°C.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
