Recipe Description
Delicious vegan sausage rolls, perfect for snacks or light meals, featuring flaky pastry wrapped around savory, spiced meat substitute.
Ingredients
- 275g vegan puff pastry
- 250g vegan minced meat
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 flaxseed egg (1 tbsp ground flaxseed mixed with 3 tbsp water)
- Sesame seeds for topping
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 200°C (392°F).
- In a bowl, mix the vegan mince, onion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, and flaxseed egg. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into rectangles. Place a portion of the filling on each, roll up tightly, and seal the edges.
- Brush with water and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Cut small slits on top and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
