Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup vegan butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- A pinch of salt
- Slivered almonds for topping
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (347°F).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together vegan butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until a dough forms. If needed, add a bit of almond milk.
- Roll out the dough and cut into shapes.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until the edges start to brown.
