Recipe Description
A tantalizing blend of spicy okra cooked to perfection with tomatoes, onions, and a variety of aromatic spices. Perfect for a comforting dinner or a hearty lunch.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
Steps:
- Wash and dry the okra before slicing them into half-inch pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add the onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and stir for a minute before adding chopped tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Add all the spices and salt to taste, mixing well.
- Add the chopped okra to the pan, stir well to coat the okra with the spices.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
