This dish features ripe, juicy tomatoes and fragrant basil, finely chopped and mixed with garlic and extra virgin olive oil. Served on toasted slices of rustic bread, each bite is a burst of freshness and simplicity. Lightly seasoned with sea salt and black pepper, this bruschetta is a delightful starter that embodies the essence of Italian cuisine.

    Ingredients

    • 6 slices of crusty bread, such as a baguette or ciabatta
    • 2 cups ripe tomatoes, diced
    • 1/3 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
    • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Steps:

    1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
