- 2 carrots, chopped
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped

- 8 cups water
- 2 bay leaves

- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns

- Strain the broth through a fine sieve, pressing on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Season with salt to taste.
- Let the bouillon cool to room temperature, then transfer to storage containers. It can be refrigerated for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 3 months for future use.
