    This Classic Vegan Seaweed Salad perfectly captures the essence of traditional Japanese cuisine while adhering to vegan dietary preferences. Combined with a dressing of soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and rice vinegar, this salad offers a harmonious blend of sweet, salty, and umami flavors that are sure to delight the palate. Garnished with sesame seeds and cucumber slices for added texture and freshness, this salad is not only a taste sensation but also a visually appealing dish that pays homage to its Asian origins.

    Ingredients

    • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
    • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
    • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

    Steps:

    1. Soak the dried wakame in water for about 20 minutes, or until fully rehydrated and tender. Drain well and gently squeeze out excess water.
    2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and sugar until the sugar has completely dissolved.
