Delicate and savory, these vegan shumai dumplings are filled with a tasty mixture of vegetables and tofu, steamed to perfection. A delightful appetizer for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shredded carrot
- 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 200g firm tofu, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 24 wonton wrappers
- Water for sealing the wrappers
Steps:
- Mix cabbage, carrot, mushrooms, tofu, soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger in a bowl.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold and seal.
- Steam the shumai over boiling water for about 20 minutes.
- Serve hot with soy sauce for dipping.
