Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Bread crumbs for coating

Steps:

  1. Make a buttermilk by mixing almond milk and apple cider vinegar. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Separate onion slices into rings.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
