    Recipe Description

These vegan Crystal Dumplings are beautifully translucent and filled with a flavorful mix of vegetables and tofu, making them a perfect treat for any celebration or as an appetizing starter.

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup shredded carrot
    • 1/2 cup minced mushrooms
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped scallions
    • 1/2 cup crumbled firm tofu
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
    • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
    • 1 pack of dumpling wrappers (ensure vegan friendly)
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying

    Steps:

    1. In a large bowl, mix together cabbage, carrot, mushrooms, scallions, and tofu.
    2. Season the mixture with soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger, then stir well to combine.
    3. Take a dumpling wrapper, place a spoonful of the filling in the center, moisten the edges with water, fold in half, and press to seal, ensuring no air is trapped inside.
    4. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
    5. Steam the dumplings for about 10 minutes or until translucent.
    6. Serve hot with a side of soy sauce for dipping.
