Recipe Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups masa harina
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vegan refried beans
  • 1/2 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup vegan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina, water, and salt to form a dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
  3. Press each ball into a thick disk shape using your hands.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and cook each sope for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  5. Spread vegan refried beans on top of each sope, followed by lettuce, salsa, and vegan cheese if using.
