Recipe Description
A tantalizingly spicy and flavorful vegan twist to the classic Jamaican Jerk, featuring marinated tofu grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lime, juiced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Steps:
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, olive oil, lime juice, garlic, thyme, allspice, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, green onions, and salt.
- Marinate the tofu slices in the mixture for at least 1 hour or overnight in the fridge.
- Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Grill marinated tofu for about 3-5 minutes on each side or until nicely charred.
- Serve hot with your choice of sides.
