In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
Add the lukewarm almond milk and melted vegan butter to the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
Fold in the raisins.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the cross mixture by mixing flour with enough water to form a thick paste. Pipe or drizzle this mixture over the buns to form crosses.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Warm the apricot jam in a small saucepan. Brush the warm jam over the hot buns for a shiny finish.
