This Spicy Thai Basil Tofu Stir-Fry combines the aromatic essence of Thai cuisine with the healthful benefits of tofu. Ingredients
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili paste
- 1 cup Thai basil leaves
- 1 tsp sugar
Steps:
- Press and cube the tofu. Set aside.
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and onion to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to high and add the tofu cubes. Fry until golden brown.
- Add the red and green bell peppers, and stir for about 2 minutes.
- Stir well, ensuring everything is coated with the sauce.
- Add the Thai basil leaves and stir until they just begin to wilt.
- Serve hot.
