    Vegan Tempura

    Recipe Description

    Light and crispy tempura, featuring a variety of vegetables dipped in a seasoned batter and deep-fried to golden perfection.

    Ingredients

    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 1 1/2 cups ice-cold water
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 2 cups assorted vegetables (bell peppers, sweet potatoes, broccoli, zucchini), cut into pieces
    • Vegetable oil for frying
    • Soy sauce for dipping

    Steps:

    1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, and ice-cold water to make the batter.
    2. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 350°F (175°C).
    3. Dip vegetables into the batter to coat evenly, then gently lower into the hot oil.
    4. Fry in batches until the batter is golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
    5. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
