Ingredients

  • 2 green plantains
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Steps:

  1. Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Fry plantain slices for about 2 minutes on each side until they are lightly golden.
  4. Remove the plantains from the oil and flatten each piece to about 1/2 inch thick with the bottom of a glass or plate.
  5. Fry the flattened plantains again in the hot oil for another 2 minutes on each side or until golden and crispy.
