- 2 green plantains
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Steps:
- Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry plantain slices for about 2 minutes on each side until they are lightly golden.
- Remove the plantains from the oil and flatten each piece to about 1/2 inch thick with the bottom of a glass or plate.
- Fry the flattened plantains again in the hot oil for another 2 minutes on each side or until golden and crispy.
