    Recipe Description

    Vegetable Pulao is a vibrant and aromatic Indian rice dish cooked with a variety of spices and mixed vegetables. It’s a perfect dish that combines healthful ingredients and exquisite flavors, making it ideal for family meals or festive occasions. This one-pot meal is not only delicious but also easy to prepare, ensuring you can enjoy flavorful Indian cuisine without spending hours in the kitchen.

    Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 1 onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 2 cloves
    • 1 inch cinnamon stick
    • 2 cardamom pods
    • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
    • 1/2 cup peas

    Steps:

    1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
    2. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon stick, and cardamom pods. Sauté for 2 minutes.
    3. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
    4. Add the chopped vegetables and stir for about 5 minutes.
    5. Stir in the basmati rice and sauté for another 2 minutes.
    6. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped coriander leaves before serving.
