Slice the green tomatoes and set aside.
Mix the almond milk and apple cider vinegar in a bowl to create a ‘buttermilk’.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
Dip each tomato slice into the ‘buttermilk’, then dredge in the cornmeal-flour mixture.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the tomato slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
