Recipe Description

A creamy and tropical dessert made from coconut milk and sweetened with sugar, thickened into a pudding-like consistency.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  1. In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup of water.
  3. Gradually whisk the cornstarch mixture into the simmering coconut milk until well combined.
  4. Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture thickens and becomes glossy.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and pour into a dish.
