Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add almond milk, applesauce, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
