Recipe Description
A classic Dutch pastry with a vegan twist, featuring layers of puff pastry and sweet vanilla cream.
Ingredients
- 1 package vegan puff pastry
- 1 cup vegan cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 2 tbsp plant-based milk
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Steps:
- Bake the puff pastry according to package instructions and let cool.
- Mix vegan cream, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla in a saucepan. Heat until thickened.
- Spread the mixture on half the pastry sheets, then cover with the other half.
- Mix icing sugar, plant-based milk, and lemon juice for the glaze. Spread over the top pastry layer.
- Chill before serving.
